While his customers face financial ruin, builder James Stroud lives a life featuring private jets and helicopters.
The former apprentice carpenter who built Brisbane-based Stroud Homes into one of the country’s biggest building companies had come a long way from his early days as a “chippy.”
Stroud Homes is under fire for demanding tens of thousands of extra dollars to complete houses and threatening legal action if customers post negative views on social media.
Mr Stroud lives on the outskirts of Boonah on the Scenic Rim in a ranch-style home featuring a helipad and a special garage for two helicopters.
