It was one of the first big builders to go bust in a chain of recent collapses that have rocked Australia’s construction industry.
Now, it’s been revealed that creditors owed tens of millions by Gold Coast-based Condev Construction will unlikely see a cent from the company which a liquidator now says may have been trading insolvent for months.
Condev, headed by Steve and Tracy Marais, collapsed in March 2022, leaving a trail of unfinished projects and hundreds of creditors owed more than $63m.
