Fighting for subbies rights
Statement from Bloomer Constructions Advisors
After 3 months of struggle, Bloomer Constructions have reached the end of the line in their efforts to get their subbies paid.
All the hard work their staff and management have done in their attempts to ensure Subbies were paid as much as possible, has now come to an end.
In the coming days, it is expected that Bloomer Constructions will appoint an Administrator to run the company.
Please note: Administration is NOT Liquidation.
ALL Subbies & Suppliers need to understand what this means for you.
Moving forward, we will look to the Administrators to continue the process of getting all creditors a return from Bloomers projects.
We would seek the Administrators vigilance in perusing any developer or Client of Bloomers who withheld or prolonged payments that contributed to Bloomers demise and ultimately, left Subbies out of pocket.
Bloomers management have committed to continue honouring project contracts throughout the administration period. As such, all stakeholders involved will expect the clients and or developers to honour their obligation to Bloomers and the Subbies and Suppliers who built their projects.
We will keep all subbies informed of Bloomer Clients and Developers who try to take advantage of the Administrators appointment.
The root cause of Bloomers collapse was not being able to sign Statutory Declarations in January. While we prefer no subbies be caught in this situation, we ask all subbies to keep themselves informed and look for more posts on SubbiesUnited website.
The administration of Bloomers is ultimately voted on by it's creditors (mainly Subbies & Suppliers).
In the interest of all subbies involved, we will propose an outcome that is the best result for subbies given the circumstances.
