First off I must tip my hat and take the time to thank two of these callous predatory builders, so far, after over 40 years in the building industry, the only two who have personally touched me but as we all know, there are any number of them out there and no matter what precautions subbies take, no matter how careful you are in choosing the builders you work for they will eventually find a victim, it is inevitable.
These two people have inadvertently done a great service to all subcontractors Australia wide by prolifically using the legal system to the extent of its limit’s, they are two of the companies whose regular use of the system is documented and “featured” in our LITIGATIONS section.
After a brief celebration I put the first bad experience out of my mind as quickly as I could, all thoughts of retribution forgotten, back to my busy life but when you do hundreds of jobs each year it was inevitable that another predator would eventually find us.
They have done all subcontractors a favour because they have driven me to the point where I had to do something so that others need not wear the same costs, effort, angst and despair that I did.
I feel very strongly about it because I detest injustice, we work hard for our money, we foster good relationships with our customers, other than the two predators there are no loose ends.
These cretins are everything I despise about the industry I have worked in for most of my life, they are a dangerous minority but they are out there biding their time, waiting for their next target.
They do irreparable damage to the Building Industry, this minority must be exposed and stopped.
