He’s the heir to a billion-dollar building empire, but Jack Hutchinson says the pressure to take over the family business and keep the operation in the black “doesn’t keep him up at night”.
But the 31-year-old, director at Hutchinson Builders, understands what’s at stake at a time when the building industry is facing unprecedented headwinds.
“We have 1900 staff at the moment,” Jack said. “But probably more like 20,000 people on our jobs every day, including subcontractors.
