ONCE hailed as central Queensland's $100 million man, former building tycoon Geoff Murphy has filed for personal bankruptcy as the fall out from the collapse of the JM Kelly Group of companies continues.
Mr Murphy, whose companies have dominated the central Queensland construction industry and secured a succession of major state government infrastructure contracts over more than three decades, appointed Michael Jones of Jones Partners as the Trustee of the Bankrupt Estate of Geoffrey Murphy on July 19.
