Taskforce kicks off investigations into non-payment of subbies
Subbies and suppliers you may never get this opportunity again so please get your submissions into the joint taskforce now.
Nothing will happen unless we subbies make it happen. Nothing will change in the industry unless we drive the change. We have made inroads with new payment legislation and the setting up of this joint taskforce, now use it before it's too late.
The Special Joint Taskforce has officially started, investigating complaints or allegations of fraudulent behaviour that have led to subcontractor non-payment in the Queensland building industry.
The Taskforce is inviting confidential submissions from individuals and organisations until 5pm Friday 17 May 2019. Recommendations will be made to the State Government by 30 June 2019.
Submissions can be made through the secure website: www.qld.gov.au/specialjointtaskforce
Submissions can also be made via email, through the post and face-to-face. Key areas across the state will be visited by members of the Taskforce from Monday 29 April. Brisbane based times are also available. Book your appointment online today!
