Angelo Lambrinos won’t forget the reaction from well-wishes after he won the role of commissioner and chief executive of Queensland’s building regulator.
Born and bred in Melbourne, the 54-year old had a three decade career in the construction and finance sector before joining the Queensland Building and Construction Commission.
To say the QBCC has had its ups and downs would be understating it and Mr Lambrinos admits that when his appointment was announced in April there were mixed emotions, with his new role in the much maligned organisation seen as a poisoned chalice
